Hime Gyaru

I'v always liked Hime Gyaru, but even with the amount I pay for my lolita, I'm not willing to drop $1,000+ on an original Jesus Diamante dress. But! Quite a number of their dresses are actually really basis patterns, easier to sew than a any lolita blouse. So, I rolled up my sleeves and finished sewing the JD inspired dress pattern I brought and cut out about 12 months ago xD

I'm happy with it, I'm just going to put some thick ribbon around the hem, and a thinner ribbon about an inch above that it to finish off. Then it's just hair, make, lenses and lashes, and I'll have my first Hime Gyaru Coord!
I hope to post something onto E_G, but we'll see >< I'm worried how a 100% brand community will respond to handmade, but that won't stop me!

I also spent way too much  brought some new fabric at spotlight to make a few more Hime dresses.

Some JD inspiration for my next two projects

And finally my AP Frill Marine JSK arived! I have the Wig/bag/shoes and bow all ready! Just need to make matching wrist cuffs.

That's all from me! Next post should be a few outfit coords, with me wearing them xD

Market Day

I went to the Sunday markets with one of my housemates the other week, and I went in Lolita so I took a few pictures! ^^ I wore my new GLW pink bob, I don't think it looks to crazy on me, but I got a couple stares haha. I am the only Lolita in the village!

Outfit Run down
Headress and Necklace: Angelic Pretty
Wig: Gothic Lolita Wigs
Bolero, Socks, Shoes, skirt: Bodyline
Cutsew: Offbrand

Not bad for an 80% Bodyline Coord.

One of two obligatory Anime knock-off stores

They didn't have the Axel and Roxas plushies like they did last week ><

ADORABLE STATIONARY STUFF!!!

I bought two mini eraser food sets from here, as props for my dolls xD

Well that was my weekend before last. I'm wearing Lolita ALLOT more now that the summer has eased off, but I work up to 13 days in a row some weeks with only one day off, so I still don't wear it as much as I would like.

Omake!

My housemate went gothy for the trip ^^

OH! also, my Angelic Pretty Frill Marine pink JSK got shipped this week, so I'll have it in about a month. Love Australian post + not living in a capital city -_-

JAPAN BLOG: Part 1

I got back from Japan some time ago now, and I think it about time I put up some pictures!

Japan was AMAZING, it was just surreal being there in person, seeing everything I'v read about and seen pictures of. I WANT TO GO BACK SO BAD!!! There was just about a billion different things to see, do ( and eat ) and I'm missing it already. Tokyo Disney land was my favorite part of the whole trip I have to , and the best shopping surprisingly enough, was at CLOSET CHILD! My sister and I visited three closet child stores in total, the ones at Ikebukuro ( it was right next to our hotel! ), Harajuku, and Shibuya ( found that one by happy accident ).

Because there are so many pictures, I'm going to split it into a couple blog posts, so as not to hog up the page.

View of Tokyo from our Hotel room at Sunshine city Prince hotel in Ikebukuro.

Vivitix store in sunshine City shopping center

One of the first building we saw at Sunshine 60, it's a gaming arcade

THEY HAVE THE FLUFFY LLAMAS!!!

GiftGate on Sunshine 60 ( saw about three of these )

I spy M*ars ^^

Sparkles, everywhere @_@

And that's the end of part One! I'll be including some key Fashion locations such as Marui, the 109 building and La foret in future J-Blogs, so keep an eye out for them!

Sunny Bank and City GETS!

On Thursday last week I went to the city and to Sunny Bank with my friend Kate, to hang out after my return from Japan, the first time seeing her on my return, and in the new year. We met up mid morning, and ventured around the city, checking out this and that, before going over to Sunny Bank.

I stopped off in a cosmetic store looking for some nail polish, as I'v fallen into the habit of painting my toenails on a weekly basis now and am in dire need of new colours, but I came back with a little more than I expected, haha

I'm painting my toes with the bright-musk pink tomorrow and that ultra purple gloss looks like WOW! I do love the drama it adds to my make-up.

the case I got from a shop in Sunnybank and it's SO CUTE! it looks like something Anna Sui and I couldn't help but pick it up ! Don't know what I will do with it yet tho.

I introduced Kate to Snow Ice at Market square, she got Choco-cho and I got um....Rainbow something. She loved it! Snow Ice is sooo good, fluffy like ice, melts like ice-cream, it is amazing!!!

After the Snow Ice, we went around the Square and I dragged Kate into several stores, most prominently the Hello Kitty-tastic ones ( where I got ALPACAS JUST LIKE FROM THE CLAW MACHINES IN JAPAN!!! MADE ME SO HAPPY! ) and the Anna Sui style case as well as a few Magazines.

Following this, Kate and I headed back to the city and I went to a casual Lolita get-together with the locals. We drank, sang, and I got Little Singapore for dinner. It was my first 'officially' Lolita get together, but I mostly knew them already as friends of friends. It as a typical hot Australian day so sanz blouse really was mandatory, yuck.

Anyway that was last week, I'm going lolly to the life line book fair tomorrow, so have some more pictures then. Hope the new years stays cool!

Supernova!!!

So even tho I was so sure there was no way I was going to Nova this year, I DID!
At the 11th hour, my Dad called and brought My sister and I tickets to the event ^^

Sypernova is the annual pop culture expo that travels across Australia. This year the con came to Brisbane twice, first in April and this one in November . This time I went Lolita style!

I wasn't the only Lolita there of course, my sister went also, and a heap of other Brisbane Lolitas.
I picked up a heap of Madoka Magica merch and I got to hug a Madoka cosplayer ^^ Apparently she had a group but I never saw them all together T.T

It was allot more fun than the April one for me, probably because of the overall surprise of me going, and I had a heap of fun ^^

The Gorgeous Madoka girl, she was my con Highlight

Moving house

So My parents moved down to Brisbane, my brother included of course, and I am now living with them in our new place.
It's a very 70's feeling house, but within three days it already felt like 'Home' which is the fastest transition I'v even had so far, and I'v lived allot of place! Got my room set up with a new sewing desk and it has giant mirrors on the cupboards right in front of my window so I get all natural light during daytime hours, which ought to be just lovely for photos. I'll take some pictures of my room later. On a more Blog relevant note!

I brought some over priced circle lenses from Elizabeth Arcade, I'm a sucker instant gratification...
I don't know what brand they are, but I do like them. I put them in and tried a quick GAL style outfit to see how it all looked.
